Quote of the day:
“How do you tell a communist? Well, it’s someone who reads Marx and Lenin. And how do you tell an anti-Communist? It’s someone who understands Marx and Lenin.”

To All,
Our next BPOU Meeting will be at a new location and a new time and we will have a lot of action to keep you involved.
We will hear from our candidates for State House, State Senate and County Commissioner. I have asked them to prepare a five minute speech and also accept three questions on topic from the audience.
Our main speaker will be Drew Emmer (yes, Tom's uncle). Drew is going to discuss the 'Colorado Model.' This should frighten you! A story of how four rich leftists from Chicago (I believe) set out to turn the state of Colorado from Red to Blue. They were successful, and now have spread this model to 18 states with Minnesota being one of the 18. Drew is heading up an organization called Americans for Prosperity. AFP has branches in 27 states and Minnesota will be 28. They are organized to combat the leftist 'Colorado Model.'
We will also talk about the upcoming Caucus and Endorsing Conventions. Where and when they are and how to become delegates.
Lastly, but not least, we will start our second round of Gubernatorial Candidate visits. Pat Anderson will stop by and talk to us about her campaign.
The meeting will be Dec 10th at the Woodbury Sheraton and will start at 6:30 prompt. I look forward to seeing you there.

Sarah Palin will be the main attraction at what's being billed as the "First National Tea Party Convention."
Tea Party Nation announced Wednesday that last year's Republican vice presidential candidate will serve as keynote speaker for the conference, scheduled to take place in Nashville, Tennessee February 4-6. A representative for Palin has not confirmed the former Alaska governor's speaking role at the gathering.
The group also announced that Rep. Michele Bachmann will be speaking at the gathering as well. The Minnesota Republican has become a hero among many in the conservative movement. A representative for Bachmann confirms her speaking role.

This article is more than a week old. Sorry if you have seen it before. But I thought it would be worth the read.
She is a striking brunette with a decidedly outspoken attitude. She lambasts President Barack Obama as a socialist and has become the darling of America's right-wing activists who flock to her appearances. She is hated by liberals and loved by conservatives.
Sarah Palin? Not quite. Meet Michele Bachmann, a Republican congresswoman from Minnesota who is being hailed as a new and increasingly powerful voice in American politics.

Hundreds of private e-mails and documents hacked from a computer server at a British university are causing a stir among global warming skeptics, who say they show that climate scientists conspired to overstate the case for a human influence on climate change.

On Monday, the Ban Ki-moon, secretary general of the United Nations wrote an Op/Ed for the N.Y. Times explaining the importance of the Copenhagen Climate Summit to the future of mankind. If I didn’t know he was a Harvard educated South Korean, based on his name and his comments I’d think he was a dope smoking hippie from a California commune. His Op/Ed follows – read and make note of the bold passages. At the end we will discuss the concerns that every American should have as you digest this Climate Change propaganda piece courtesy of the left wing media.

I was watching one of our new favorite TV shows on the USA cable network last night, "White Collar". And this anti-Bachmann commercial sponsored by the Sierra Club ran; It was actually quite comical. The "evil"' Michele Bachmann is being chastised for supposedly receiving contributions from "Big Oil". I was thinking who is this guy named Big Oil, since corporations are banned from making political contributions. Meanwhile unions can take members dues and use the money without permission for numerous political uses. Who do you suppose made those laws?

The health bill that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is bringing to a vote (H.R. 3962) is 1,990 pages. Here are some of the details you need to know.
What the government will require you to do:
• Sec. 202 (p. 91-92) of the bill requires you to enroll in a "qualified plan." If you get your insurance at work, your employer will have a "grace period" to switch you to a "qualified plan," meaning a plan designed by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. If you buy your own insurance, there's no grace period. You'll have to enroll in a qualified plan as soon as any term in your contract changes, such as the co-pay, deductible or benefit.
• Sec. 224 (p. 118) provides that 18 months after the bill becomes law, the Secretary of Health and Human Services will decide what a "qualified plan" covers and how much you'll be legally required to pay for it. That's like a banker telling you to sign the loan agreement now, then filling in the interest rate and repayment terms 18 months later.
• Sec. 59b (pp. 297-299) says that when you file your taxes, you must include proof that you are in a qualified plan. If not, you will be fined thousands of dollars. Illegal immigrants are exempt from this requirement.

The South West Washington County Bulletin (dated Nov 2) has an article about the Republican endorsement of the several school board candidates. Not sure what the fuss is about. Various organizations have endorsed school board candidates for as long as I can remember. Is it any different to be endorsed by a political party than it is to be endorsed by a teachers union, or other advocacy group? I don't see much difference.

Michele Bachmann (R-MN) has been one of the more vocal opponents of ObamaCare. Last week on Sean Hannity’s television program, Ms. Bachmann announced the “House Call on Congress.” She urged Americans to come to Washington, DC, to a press conference on the Capitol steps at Noon on Thursday, November 5. After the presser, Ms. Bachmann will lead the citizens through House office buildings to confront Democrats on their own turf. She hopes to draw thousands to DC to tell the Democrats to their faces, “We don’t want a government takeover of our healthcare.” Yesterday, Ms. Bachmann announced that conservative talk radio host Mark Levin would join her.
